Secrets of The Rich

Fellow Young Entrepreneurs,

I have been observing resenting the current richest African person, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and almost trailing his foot step and i notice he attends every major big functions in Nigeria and abroad. No matter where the event is holden, however busy he may be, he makes time to attend these functions.

I watched him at Former Gov Peter Obi's valedictory ceremony in Akwa, Anambra and he was there with the Minister for Finance and coordinating minister for economy, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala alongside the incoming Governor of Anambra state then. Alhaji Aliko Dangote was there patiently until he had to leave.

Little wonder he attends all major international Economic, Trade, Developmental and national events with UN, World Bank. He is always seen at every major events in Nigeria, recently at the 50th birthday of Chief Dele Momodu, the Ovation Magazine magnate.

It then pressed on my mind, that entrepreneurs must seek, utilize and maximize every opportunity to promote their brands, increase their identity, show their presence and network to better themselves and profit their company.

So worrisome, events for entrepreneurs and you find only a handful attend, where are they and what are they doing. A little token to attend the seminar, conference, show, summit, party or even fund raising is an investment for an unpaid advert for you to promote your brand and increase your business. If you do not you do not miss, but if you do, you gain alot. Ask Aliko Dangote as busy as he is, how he is able to attend all these events, what is he looking for?

Looking at the events, the high and mighty attend, so classic. That is where they connect, get the huge deals in the pipeline even before it is announced.

So, dear friend, what are those events you are contemplating about. Get up and attend.
Go to where the rich are going, do what the richest man in Africa is doing and in one month, come back and share with me the outcome. Even at the wedding ceremony, you can get a deal. Come to think of it, someone did at the wedding I attended last saturday, Maureen, you go a contract to supply chapman at the sent forth for a bank manager in June, right? Yes, that is true, cos, i was there.
